This is a original
authentic
poster (NOT a reprint) from the 1980 Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid
This poster was issued by ABC TV and has the ABC Olympics Logo in the center
This poster reads:
"The World Comes to America for the 1980 Winter Olympics
And America Will Watch It On ABC"
This most attractive poster has a deep navy blue background with a large center circle containing the artwork.
Centered within the circle is the
Lake Placid abc logo with the Olympic Flame above the logo.
The trails of
Whiteface Mountain
are in the background as are two ski jumps. The poster depicts a multitude of winter sports: ice skating, speed skating, hockey, skiing, ski jumping, bobsledding, This is an absolutely wonderful example of Pop Art.
This poster is in good vintage condition with some slight edge wear and a small half inch tear on the upper left side near the top and minor scratches on the surface. Please view all photos carefully as they are an important part of the description.
Framing will cover the edges and it will display quite nicely.
Poster has been stored rolled. It will be sent gently rolled in a
USPS Priority tube.
