This is a superb very large heavy illustrated dog book about a famous Chow Chow show dog, the dog Ch. Chinnery, owned by Mr C.D. Rotch was born on 20th September 1926 and was breed by Lady Coats, it is the show record of this dog at British dog shows in 1927 and 1928, the shows include most of the major English Championship Dog Shows including Crufts, it is housed in a very large superb quality handmade leather binding that is approx. 13" x 10" x 2" thick it is a gilt decorated prize binding, stamped "Harrods Ltd London" the book which is a complete original one off contains in date order pages giving the details of every show the dog competed in together with hand written notes of how successful the dog was together with all the original winning and prize certificates there are also large original photographs of the dog, all the information is contained on approx. 30 hard card pages, in very good condition, a very rare and important early English record of a dog's show career.
