    Description
AKARI w/ ISAMU NOGUCHI Light Lamp Shade Washi "Pendant Lamp 40DL
    SHADE ONLY
    "
    * This product is sold only in shades.
A socket cord (with a light bulb) is required for use.
The 40DL has an atmosphere that combines "45D" and "45A", and a bamboo bar is loosely woven in the center.
In addition, 40DL is not a perfect circle like the light of a sparkler, but a pendant shade with a slightly long silhouette that is very cute.
By using it in a Western-style room as well as a Japanese-style room, a modern impression is further accentuated.
Also, it matches the interior of the Nordic system.
    About Isamu Noguchi:
Born from the encounter between Isamu Noguchi and Gifu Lantern
"AKARI", a light sculpture consisting of Japanese paper and bamboo
The lighting sculpture named "AKARI" was created in 1952 from the encounter between Isamu Noguchi and Gifu lanterns, a traditional Gifu prefecture industry.
The nature of Japanese paper that softly diffuses light and the rough and irregular stretching of bamboo skeleton, which is a framework, leaves the shrinkage and wrinkles of Washi paper as it is, not only as a fixture for lighting, but as a sculpture of light. It was established. The production attitude that sticks to the nature of the material is what is seen in traditional Japanese crafts, and the lightness and fragility of "AKARI" is also based on the aesthetic sense of ancient Japan.
This work by Isamu Noguchi was immediately noticed around the world for beautifully recreating the beautiful crafts unique to Japan to the present age. Widely used in homes and offices.
