    Description

For auction are 11 vintage toy dolls.  First doll is a Barbie with blonde hair and blue eyes.  Marked 'Mattel Incorporated 1966 Philippines'. No damage noted.  Second doll is another Barbie, blonde braided hair with blue eyes. Barbie is marked 'Mattel 1966 Malaysia'.  Only thing I notice is her bangs appear to be cut and torso color does not match arms legs and head. That just may be the way it was made. The third doll is another Barbie with shorter blonde hair and blue eyes. Marked '1966 Mattel made in Japan'.  Scuff marks on her rear, the back of right leg has a small tear and she has kind of a dirty face and arms.  Couple of small scratch marks on her back and right chest area. Legs bend at kneecaps like the first two dolls.  The fourth doll (I think is a Barbie) with curly blonde hair and green eyes.  Legs move at kneecaps and this doll seems to be slightly smaller than the others. The back of her head is marked 'Mattel 1987', lower torso is marked 'Mattel 1987 China'. Only problem I see is some discoloration on her legs, almost spotty, and a raised pinhole on the back of her left leg. The fifth doll is a blonde hair, blue-eyed Barbie in a snow white type dress. Lower torso is marked 'Mattel China 1987' and the back of her head looks to be 'Mattel 1994'.  No damage seen other than her hair is pretty ratty.  This doll is a bit smaller than the first ones as well. The next doll, number six doll is a blonde haired, blue-eyed Barbie 'Mattel 1987' on back of head and 'Mattel 1987 Malaysia' on lower torso. Very small scuff mark about 1 mm on inside of left thigh. This Barbie doll has yellow earrings and it appears her bangs may have been cut. The 6th doll I do not think is a Barbie. Long brown hair, the legs seem to work the same as the Barbies and she stands larger than the 1980 Barbies, more like the 1960s. The back of her head is stamped 'CREATA 1988'and her torso is stamped 'China CREATA 1982'. The doll has a couple blemishes on her back and probably just needs cleaned up a bit. The 7th all is not a Barbie, she appears to have African American hair but lighter skin. Back is stamped 'made in China for BIKIN  Disney'. The lower torso is stamped 'made in China', but no year. Right fingers on hand are intact but look a little chewed up, left leg has small hole near kneecap and the ankle area of foot has a small tear.  The top of chest area has two blemishes. The 8th doll is a Barbie, made by Mattel in Malaysia, the year is hard to make out.  I think it is 1966 or 63? She has blonde hair and blue eyes.  Her hair is braided with a purple bow. Her right arm has a few small holes(puncture marks?) and a hole through her ring finger on right hand, may have had a ring.  I should note that her arms are in a fixed position different than the others. They still swivel but they are bent at elbows. Now on to the 'Pepper' doll. It looks like someone cut her hair short.  Features blonde hair with blue eyes, freckles under her eyes wearing a black and white striped dress with pink flowers and a lace up front. The back of her head says 'Ideal Toy Corp' and is unlegible underneath that. Her back is stamped 'Ideal Toy Corp' with G-9-W and a 4 under that. Her dress is marked 'Genuine Barbie'. Only damage I see is the back heel of right foot is slightly indented. Nice details on the face. I was told the Tammy and Pepper were made in the early 1970's. The final doll is a 'Tammy' doll wearing a brown flowered, 1970 style shirt with a brown skirt.  She stands about 3" taller than the Pepper doll. She has curly light brown hair, red lipstick and blue eyes. The only damage I see is her left pinky is half gone. The back of her head is stamped 'Ideal Toy Corp BS- 12' or could be BS-L2.  TOP OF HER BACK IS STAMPED 'IDEAL TOY CORP BS-12' WITH 'A 2' UNDERNEATH IT. HER SHIRT IS TAGGED 'MADE IN HONG KONG', BACK OF SKIRT COULD USE RESEWN. THE TAMMY DOLL HAS A REALLY CUTE FACE AND EXPRESSION.  The dolls come in a red metal case with a white carrying handle I don't know if that's actual Barbie or not, has a star pattern covering inside.  The lot also comes with a purple glittery dress and a light blue puffy dress.
